ESA Phi-Lab Finland's call is now open!

ESA Phi-Lab Finland is offering 4.4 M€ of space-related funding and support for geospatial innovation projects between 2025 and 2030. For this year, the first application cutoff is 23:59 on the 1st of June 2025.
Open Call for ESA Phi-Lab Finland - Aalto Startup Center

We welcome to the program startups, SME’s and all larger industries to apply for ESA Phi-Lab Finland funding. Participation in the Open Call is open to all legal entities established within Finland.

Please read through the frequently asked questions on their website before reaching out with any inquiries. For further information, you’re welcome to register for the webinar on April 29th or join the info session at A Grid on May 7th.

ESA Phi-Lab Finland welcomes two new projects to accelerate space-enabled innovation

The ESA-funded programme, run by Aalto Startup Center, has selected its third and fourth projects to receive innovation funding. The projects were chosen by a Tender Evaluation Board represented by the European Space Agency, Aalto University, the University of Vaasa, the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) and the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute (FGI).

Metaktik Receives One Million Euro Funding

Finnish company Metaktik, which began operations at the beginning of March, has secured 1 million euros in funding in its pre-seed round. Metaktik is bringing an exceptional antenna innovation to the market. The new patented metasurface invention enhances security and improves data collection on land, at sea, and in the air.
