Demo Day is taking place in less than two weeks! We know we are really excited for you to see what we have been working on, are you excited?
This event, organized by Aalto Startup Center and A Grid, is the perfect opportunity to see the innovation that comes out of Aalto University and beyond. During the day, startups and research teams from our community set up to present their case for participants to examine and explore. In other words, our premises will be filled with founders and soon-to-be founders ready to present their work to anyone interested in knowing more.
Last year we had around 90 booths and over 700 people registered. The good thing is that everyone is welcome! Other founders, stakeholders, ecosystem players, students (from Aalto University or other universities!), mentors, interested people... You name it! Everyone is welcome, you just need to register.
Also, if the startup showcase is not enough for you, we also have a program going on at the same time. To develop the program, we joined forced with other players from the eocsystem such as XSTRYV, Wednesday, Aalto Founders' School, Esports Gambe Lab, and FiBAN. This last one taking care of the pitching competition being held in the morning of Demo Day.

ESA Phi-Lab Finland welcomes two new projects to accelerate space-enabled innovation
The ESA-funded programme, run by Aalto Startup Center, has selected its third and fourth projects to receive innovation funding. The projects were chosen by a Tender Evaluation Board represented by the European Space Agency, Aalto University, the University of Vaasa, the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) and the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute (FGI).
Metaktik Receives One Million Euro Funding
Finnish company Metaktik, which began operations at the beginning of March, has secured 1 million euros in funding in its pre-seed round. Metaktik is bringing an exceptional antenna innovation to the market. The new patented metasurface invention enhances security and improves data collection on land, at sea, and in the air.
