Masterclass (Part Two): Patent Mining for Deep Tech Founders
This is a continuation of the IPR Workshop held earlier in the morning, led by Ola Wassvik, COO of Lightbringer.
In the afternoon the group gets smaller and the conversation goes deeper. The masterclass is for companies that are serious about turning IP into a real business advantage, not just a line on a slide. Ola goes hands-on with patent mining - the method he uses to turn everyday problem-solving inside a startup into a defensible IP pipeline.
You'll work through the full mining workflow, learn how to sort ideas across conceptual, product, system, and component patents, and walk away knowing what to patent versus what to lock away as a trade secret. Expect the 1,000-hour / $1M discoverability test, the 50/50 portfolio logic, and a repeatable routine you can start using the same week.
