100STARTUPS x A Grid Impact Series: Teambuilding with Epic meets

A chance to meet other founders and strengthen your team. You can share how your idea has evolved and find people to collaborate with. This session helps you move from ideas to real teams.

For the 1.5-hour workshop, we’ll use the Epics thinking and expression tools and the Epics methods to keep it high-energy, grounded in science, and structured. Here is the flow I’m designing:

Unlocking Synergies: An Epics® Workshop for Startups

  1. Initial intro to the workshop: A brief framing of the objective and setting the stage for how we’ll be working together.
  2. Expertise & Interest discovery: A cocktail-style exercise (using Epics) where participants circulate, map out their core expertise, and share personal interests with multiple people across the room.
  3. The science behind Epics & Startup applications: A short debrief unpacking the methodology and science behind why this approach works, grounded in the experience they just had, and how to apply it to startup work.
  4. Thematic team deep-dive: Grouping participants into targeted teams of ~4 based on shared thematic interests to collaborate and explore synergies more in-depth.
  5. Discussion & Highlights: Lifting up key insights and standout takeaways from the small group discussions with the whole room.
  6. Closing & Next Steps: Concluding words on how to learn using Epics and integrate the Epics method into ongoing work.

IMPORTANT: This session takes place at Mordor (A Grid, Otakari 5A, Espoo)

What is 100STARTUPS?

A series of events designed to turn your ideas into impact, beginning on August 26 and building up to the main event on October 21–22.

Through masterclasses and expert guidance, participants will validate ideas, form teams, test business concepts, and build foundations of new startups together.

We aim to validate 100 concepts throughout pre-event training sessions and workshops and the in-person two-day main event. You don’t need experience, funding, or a ready business plan, just the courage to start.
