Aalto Startup Center News June 2018

The spring has been busy and fun so now it's time to recap before a summer break! Here's our June newsletter for you to enjoy.

We have refined our services for two customer groups: innovations originating from Aalto research (especially Business Finland funded TUTLI-cases) and startups seeking for leverage in Aalto University’s research and community. Our team has also been reinforced with several professionals during this year so there’s even more knowledge and support available for our startups, in the form of our Business Generator. The Business Generator model was launched in Arctic15, where connected our startups with potential investors and mentors.

During the next few months we will work hard with our customers and stakeholders, for example strengthening the access to finance capabilities of our startups with a development program. The year is completed with Slush, where we will join forces with our ESA BIC Finland and Aalto Innovation Services to guarantee more visibility to great innovations. The European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre Finland has now chosen its first incubatee, our alumni company CollectiveCrunch! We have also started to operate the Finnish startup functions of EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology) Climate-KIC and EIT InnoEnergy. Read more about the great possibilities they offer for sustainable business.

We are looking forward to the next academic year to start, because it finally brings the schools of Arts&Design and Business to the Otaniemi campus. We are delighted to welcome you to our season opening on Sep 6th, please see the details below and save the date!

We wish you sunny and warm summer days!
