Talsinki Metropolitan Incubation startups pitched in front of Finnish investors (FiBAN).

The new incubation project Talsinki aims for developing new business relations between entrepreneurs based in Estonia and Finland. One main focus of developing new business relations is to attract more investments to Estonian and Finnish promising new startups.

On the 26th of April in cooperation with EstBAN, FiBAN and Talsinki project a joint pitching event was conducted in order to present Estonian investment ready startups to Finnish investors and vise versa.

The joint pitching event attracted over 50 FiBAN members in addition to EstBAN members how also participated this members only event.

According to the Estonian project manager Triin Mahlakõiv for the first time Estonian startups had the change to pitch in front of Finnish angel investors in a closed event. Startups from Tehnopol came back to Estonia with valuable feedback, numerous new angel investors contacts and one startup began negotiations for seed round investments. Altogether it was a vey useful event for Estonian startups.

According to the EstBAN manager Heidi Kakko cooperation between EstBAN and FiBAN is increasing which is a very positive result for both associations. Last pitching event attracted enormous amount of angel investors from Estonia and Finland, which shows a increasing interest for cooperation and ambition to invest both countries startups. Angel investor pitching events give startups a better chance to get early stage investments from angel investors.
