What is your innovation?
Wuud: Wuud develops and manufactures new wooden solutions for architectural cladding. The innovation is based on unique integration of mechanical and chemical wood processing technologies into a streamlined and fully sustainable manufacturing process. Our product is ready to install, all in one solution with most affordable life cycle cost and new visual design and color. This new manufacturing technology enables such durability and fire retardancy, that we up can provide up to 50 years maintenance freedom to our products.
What kind of problem does your innovation solve?
Wuud: There is a growing need for new wooden products for construction industry due to green transition. However, solving durability and fire safety issues of wood, with available solutions, generates usually unsatisfactory and uneconomical results. Also, from architectural point of view, there has been very little development on the visual design of wooden cladding products.
What is your idea’s impact for society?
Wuud: We believe that we can generate sustainable business by utilizing local resources, such as wood as a raw material and local services and also by providing work opportunities for local people.
Our products enable the development of architecturally pleasant and sustainable environment.
