23 of Aalto Startup Center’s ecosystem startups are attending the Arctic15 event. Arctic15 is a Startup Investor Event and a meeting spot for startup entrepreneurs, investors, corporates and media from 60+ countries.
Who are you and what do you do?
Remoted: Remoted is a robot vehicle operator. We operate electric and self-driving shuttles and buses to deliver sustainable urban mobility service and superior consumer experience to markets. Our service combined with the public transport system improves its accessibility and service level.
What kind of team do you have at the moment?
Remoted: We have 10 team members.
What is your innovation?
Remoted: We offer three services to our customers:
- CONSULTANCY: We help cities, resorts and campuses to design their mobility strategies.
- REMOTE OPERATION CENTER (RCC): We offer remote control and operations capabilities for self-driving vehicles from our own remote operation center.
- ROBOBUS SERVICE: We are operating self-driving, electric and shared vehicles (shuttles/busses) as a service.
What kind of problem does your innovation solve?
Remoted: We believe that streets are urban spaces and they belong to people. We also believe that the mobility must be changed from private car ownership to active and shared mobility which is offered as a service.
What is your idea’s impact?
Remoted: Less vehicles means fewer CO2 emissions and more urban space for people, trees and playgrounds. Obviously, when streets are liberated from cars, we can increase quality of life in cities.
What are your main Sustainable Development Goals and why?
Remoted: Robobus service delivers affordable urban mobility service which improves gender equality and reduces inequalities. We will deliver sustainable cities and communities. Here are all our Sustainable Development Goals:

What are you currently looking for?
Remoted: We have several on-going projects in Finland, which must be delivered soon. We are looking for funding to secure growth and to execute our pipeline.
What are your main targets in the Arctic15 event?
Remoted: Our main targets are to meet investors and to secure pre-seed funding.
