What is your innovation?

Nosore: We are developing an automatic end-to-end preventive solution against pressure ulcers. Our end users are wheelchair patients who have an increased risk of getting pressure ulcers. We are developing a smart sheet with embedded sensors which automatically identifies the elevated risk of pressure ulcers. The system automatically activates preventive action, no patient/care personnel action is needed.

What kind of problem does your innovation solve?

Nosore: Pressure ulcers can start in just a few hours and is often unnoticed by care people. Pressure ulcers kill bedridden and wheelchair patients and causes massive costs to health care. Every third spinal cord injured personnel will get a pressure ulcer.

What are your main Sustainable Development Goals?

SDG-3SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being*: Our innovation prevents pressure ulcers and aids in the good health and well-being of bedridden and wheelchair patients, who are at risk of developing pressure ulcers.
