1. Could you please give us a short introduction about yourself?
My name is Eelis, I am a business student from Aalto University, almost finished with my bachelor’s degree in marketing. I just started working at ASUC as a project assistant.
2. Can you tell us a bit about your professional background?
Previously, I have been working in sales at a tiny business consultancy. In addition, I have been working at Aalto as an assistant teacher at Aalto Junior, facilitating business, tech, and design-related workshops for children and high school students.
3. Can you explain a bit about your role at Aalto Startup Center?
My role as a project assistant includes a variety of tasks, mainly regarding our Business Generator program. I will be helping with the practicalities of organizing events and training sessions ensuring that they run smoothly.
4. So, what brought you to Aalto Startup Center originally?
The possibility of working in an environment full of exciting projects and startups capable of making a great impact inspired me to apply here.
5. After a few weeks of working here, do you enjoy the experience? Which part is your favorite so far?
Yes, I enjoy the experience. I have already had a chance to participate in multiple interesting projects and events. The vibe and energy here is positive and supportive, which makes this a great place to work in. My favorite part so far is the Business Generator program. It has been interesting to be part of the project as the program for this autumn just started. There are a lot of exciting new startups participating in the program.
6. What’s your preferred work style?
When creating new, I like to work together in a team so we can throw around thoughts and ideas. When focusing on deep work I like to work alone to be able to concentrate efficiently.
7. Do you want to say something to our startups?
Feel free to come and discuss your ideas with us, and never hesitate to ask for help!
8. Any plan or goals for the coming 2023
My goal is to do my best at ASUC to make it the best possible place for startups to create an impact. Simultaneously, I want to learn everything I can about startups and the ecosystem.
9. Tell us one thing about yourself that would surprise us
Actually, when I was born, I made it into the top 10 heaviest-born babies in Finland! That always seems to surprise people.
