Marketing and communications specialist- Maternity leave replacement-( Finnish required.)

Aalto Startup Center is a business accelerator for startups up to three years old and in the technology sector. The accelerator utilizes the interdisciplinary expertise in design, business and technology offered by Aalto University, as well as the university’s expertise and networks. Every year, the Aalto Startup Center has about 40–50 start-up companies. The premises of Aalto Startup Center are located in Otaniemi, Espoo. Under Aalto Startup Center, there are ongoing projects e.g. Campus Incubator Project (Aalto Digital Creatives), ESA BIC Finland, Research to Business pre-incubator and Urban Tech Helsinki Incubator.

We are looking for a substitute for parental leave for our innovative team

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION Specialist

You will be the operational leader of the Communication and Community (COCO) team at Aalto Startup Center as a marketing and communications expert. You are comprehensively responsible for the marketing and communication tasks of the Aalto Startup Center and develop new operating methods, processes and tools.Your responsibilities strongly include the implementation of a new marketing strategy, branding, social media and the planning and marketing of training, events and workshops for customer companies together with Aalto Startup Center’s business advisors. You manage the annual time of the events and is responsible for the organization of network and trade fair events (eg Arctic15, Slush, Aalto Startup Center Demo Day).

In your work, you will also be able to focus on the acquisition of client companies and communicate key results during different projects to various stakeholders, such as funders and the media (effectiveness communication).
You also work closely with Aalto Communications and other external marketing stakeholders on these issues.

We require you to have strong knowledge and experience in various marketing and communication tasks. Previous experience in various tasks supporting entrepreneurship (eg organizing entrepreneurship training) is considered an advantage. The position requires strong proficiency in Finnish and English.We value previous experience with the following tools: Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Event Management), Meltwater (media tracking), MS Planner (project management), HubSpot (marketing automation) and Microsoft, as well as experience in comprehensive event planning and customer service.
