Unit economics describes your business model’s revenues and costs in relation to an individual unit (service or product). It is a simple, but powerful tool to help you understand the long term sustainability of your startup.

The data produced through unit economics analysis can be integral to the short-term and long-term financial planning of your startup. It will help you 1) forecast your profits, 2) help you optimize your product offering and 3) assess your startup’s market sustainability.
