Hi everyone! I’m Camila Ocampo from Chile and I’m the new communications trainee for Urban Tech Helsinki! I have been living in Finland for almost 2 years! - What is your role in Aalto Startup Center?
My role is coordinating social media and events for Urban Tech Helsinki, but also supporting the communication team of ASUC.
- Can you tell us a bit about your professional background? (For example, what the Master’s study is about or any previous work experience related to your role)
I studied business and management in Chile (our bachelor’s in Chile is for 5 years) and after that, I did a Diploma in Logistics, so nowadays I have been combining both backgrounds in marketing and social media coordination in international environments with good planning and business mindset! - What brought you to Aalto Startup Center originally ?
My passion for continuous learning about the innovative ecosystem in Helsinki!
- What’s your work style?
Flexible and always with a positive vibe in all the things that I’m doing and implementing with the team.
- What inspires you in your work?
I strongly believe in learning by doing, so I always try to apply new knowledge in my tasks!
- What do you do in your spare time?
I love to ride on bike and usually here in Helsinki I always try to find nice places and views for doing a good walk.

All of you are really inspired and I’m so happy to see all the amazing impact that you are bringing to Finland and the world!

Camila is the new Communications Trainee at Aalto Startup Center for Urban Tech Helsinki who started work in August 2022. She is working on coordinating and supporting internal events and in content creation for Social Media.
